Terms of subscription

Game Plan Hockey Manager is free to play. Premium is for managers who back the game on Patreon. It adds room and convenience, never a stronger team: no player, no rating and no result is for sale.

1. Price and what Premium includes

The current price and everything Premium includes are on the pricing page. Premium is paid monthly through Patreon, and there is no checkout on this site.

If you already backed the game on Patreon at a lower amount before the current price was set, you keep Premium at your current pledge until the date shown on the pricing page. The game reminds you, in the game and by email, before that date.

2. Backing on Patreon

When you join on Patreon you agree to Patreon’s Terms of use, Privacy policy and Cookie policy. Patreon handles all payments, sets the billing dates and shows them to you when you join. We never see your card or payment details.

3. How Premium reaches your account

Premium follows your pledge by itself when your Patreon email address is the one you sign in with here, or once you connect your Patreon account in Preferences → Account. We check pledges once a day, so a new or raised pledge can take up to a day to show. Premium stays active for a short period after each paid month, so a payment that arrives a few days late does not interrupt it.

A coupon code gives Premium for the period stated with the code.

4. No refunds

Payments are made to Patreon and are not refunded by us. Premium stays active for the period you have paid for. To treat everyone the same, we make no exceptions. Patreon’s own refund policy may apply to your payment.

5. When Premium ends

If you stop or lower your pledge below the Premium level, or a coupon period runs out, your account returns to the free plan. Everything you built stays: your clubs, players and history. If you run more clubs than the free plan allows, the club you took most recently is released back to the game, and your shortlist is cut back to the free limit. You get a notice in the game when this happens.

If you uploaded your own club logo, your clubs go back to the mascots they wore before it, and you get a notice in the game. Your logos stay in your library. When Premium returns you can put an approved logo back on your club, with no new review.

6. Cancelling

Cancel your pledge on Patreon. We cannot cancel a Patreon membership for you by email.

You can close your account at any time by writing to hello@gameplanhockey.com. Closing your account does not cancel your Patreon membership, so cancel that on Patreon as well. How we handle your information is described in the privacy policy.

7. Our right to end access

We may suspend or end access to the game, or to Premium, for an account that cheats, abuses other managers or breaks the terms and conditions. In that case we do not refund payments.

8. Changes

If the price or these terms change, we update this page and the date below, and we tell backers in advance when the change affects what they pay. This version applies from 30 October 2026.
