Notifications
The bell collects what happened to your club since you last looked — results, injuries, contracts, trades, the Training report and announcements from the admins. With Hide my games, you see your club's result after a game before the bell can give it away.
On this page
Notifications tell you what happened to your club since you last looked: games played, injuries, contract and trade news, the Training report, and announcements from the game’s admins. They wait behind the bell, and a red badge on it shows how many you have not read.
Reading your notifications
Press the bell to open the panel, and click a notification to read it. Opening it marks it read.
On a computer the bell sits at the top of the sidebar, next to the logo. On a phone it sits in the top bar, and the panel opens from the bottom of the screen with its own close button.
The panel lists announcements first, each marked Announcement. Everything else follows, grouped by game day with the newest day on top; the current day reads Today. Unread notifications show in white with a blue dot, read ones in gray. An opened notification links to the player, team or game it is about.
From the top of the panel:
- All and Admin switch between everything and the announcements alone. The switch changes what the list shows, not the count on the badge.
- Mark all read appears when something is unread, and marks everything in the panel read.
- The X on a notification deletes it.
- Show older, at the bottom, loads earlier notifications.
New notifications show the next time you open a page.
What arrives
The panel collects what concerns your club and your account:
- Your games: the result of every game your team plays, and your playoff matchups.
- Injuries: a player of yours getting hurt, and coming back.
- The Training report: on a day when one of your players’ Overall changes, a report lists who Took a step up or Lost ground, who is Close to a step up or Slipping, and who is Exhausted. Each name links to the player, and Go to training takes you to your training. See training and development.
- Contracts and the roster: offers accepted or rejected, players signed, released or retired, contracts ending, a reminder about expiring contracts, and salary changes after a promotion or relegation.
- Trades: offers and counteroffers you receive, and offers that are accepted, rejected, canceled or completed.
- Players you follow: another club making an offer to a player on your shortlist, and his signing, release or retirement.
- League news for your club: promotion, relegation, a championship, a player named star of the week.
- Announcements: messages from the game’s admins, and messages about your account and Premium, such as a coupon code activated or your Patreon connected.
The panel shows the notifications of the game world you are in; announcements show in every world. If you manage clubs in more than one world, pick the club under Your teams in the sidebar to read that world’s notifications.
Your results and the bell
With Hide results on Hide my games, which a new account starts on, you see each game of your club’s before the bell can give its score away; with Show all, the bell can tell you the score before you have seen a shift. Set it in Settings in the user menu, under Preferences; how it works is on hiding results. A league game’s notifications arrive when the live broadcast of its round is over, so the bell never gives a score away while it is on.
How long they stay
On the free plan the panel keeps notifications for 3 days; with Premium it keeps them for 90.
Messages about your Premium and your coupon codes are the exception: they stay until you have read them, however old they get. Deleting a notification removes it from your panel only; anyone else who got the same one keeps theirs.
Worth knowing
- With Hide my games, the screen that waits after your club has played has no bell, so you see the game there before any notification can give the score away.
- The All and Admin switch changes what the list shows, not the count on the badge.
- The panel shows only the game world you are in; announcements show in every world.
- Messages about your Premium and coupon codes stay until you have read them, even on the free plan.
